New theme starts this week.  Reminder of Friday’s dialogues.  Unit Test was sent home to be signed by parents on November 3rd.

Homework:  Assigned when work is not completed in class.  Also, work on projects will not be “assigned,” it will be your job to complete any projects– your reminder will be on the board, not always on this page.  Students are asked to review their notes and practice vocabulary weekly.  Tests and Major projects will be on the homework list at the front of the room.

Weekly oral presentations will be required, if you miss your turn due to absence, please schedule a time to make it up during break/before or after school.  I am not going to remind you, it is your assignment.

If you find things difficult, please ask for extra help.  There are no scheduled help days, but help can be scheduled.

 If you miss class, please check with another student for missed work.

Dictionaires are required!

Major Project:  Due Tuesday, November 8th.

Unit Tests were sent home this week for parents to view.

Zero English has begun.  Any students speaking English in class will be deducted marks from their weekly total of 10.  Those marks will be posted in SAS at the end of the week, please ensure you are trying your best to communicate in French.

All grade 11 French students are reminded to be prepared for class with a dictionary, both the workbook and text and any assigned work from the previous class.  If you are absent, it is your responsibility to catch up on any missed work. 

Any students wanting extra help are asked to please speak with Ms. Aucoin to set up a time.  Parents are most welcome to speak with me by calling the school, or e-mail kesmith@edu.pe.ca

Important Dates:    This Friday and Saturday there will be volunteer hours in the community for Halloween activities.

October 24:  Major Project work day, 25 More work with the 7 habits/group activity, 26 Career Day, 27 Work day, 28 Test

Test:  On Friday of this week

–In case I have not said it clearly….AWSOME job with the Pep Rally!!!!

As discussed in class, there is no assigned homework for this class.  However…..Big However.  You must complete your 2 hours of volunteer work per week.  Remember the rule, you can work ahead, but you may not work backwards.  Every Monday, hours will be tabulated, and those who did not complete their work will receive 0% for that week.  Keep in mind that you must complete the hours anyway to pass the course, so do them on time and get your marks!

If you need assistance finding hours, I am happy to suggest.

Projects will be assigned on  a regular basis, and class time will be provided to complete those assignments.  If extra time/effort is required then at home work will take place (but this is not “homework”)
